thank you for this great informative article. I had no idea that Horizon was mostly a factory farm that doesn't allow their cattle to graze. Shame on the US government for allowing that to be called organic!

I sent an e-mail to Ed. Below is the body of my letter;
Hi Ed.
Please extend the public comment period by at least 30 days so that farmers and consumers have time to read through your draft! I don't understand why you had to re write everything from scratch and make all of this so complicated. Especially, without input from the organic community. That is completely rediculous!

Please keep supporting our wonderful small, organic farmers. it is the big institutionalized farms that been abusing our animals for the sake of mass production and making more money at the expense of animals. It is also big institutionalized farms that have destroyed our natural fruits and vegetables by genetic manipulation. Again for the sake of mass production and to make more money.

American farmers need to represent high quality once more! The only way that can happen, is if organic farming is encouraged and regulated.
