Every heard of Slow Food USA? From their website: "Slow Food is an idea, a way of living and a way of eating. It is a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members around the world that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment." They also have a blog and on their blog today they are urging their readers to speak and let President Elect Obama know who they think the future Secretary of Agriculture should be.
