HOORAY!!! Celebrate, good times! Kathleen Merrigan, has been chosen to be the deputy agriculture secretary. Why is this cause for celebration? Well, she's known as a champion of organics, she's an academic and a former congressional aide who has helped establish the federal organic food-labeling rules. Let's hope that she will be a positive influence on the USDA to keep organics truly organic.
