While a fairly good (animated) explanation of the recycling process, doesn't clarify that materials like plastic are not truly recycled but instead molded into other products. Too often, "recycling" is mixed up with "reuse" and has become a poorly-defined, feel-good means to apologize for corporate waste. Coopportunity has been a leader in some related areas and could educate shoppers about the costs of "recycling" and addressing perceived/real limitations to reuse, e.g., State health codes re. bringing one's own containers to the store for use. The Coop could also do more re. products such as only selling rechargeable batteries, at checking lines first asking shoppers in they brought their own bags, displaying reusable shopping bags right at the check out lines, and more.
